Beginning on Monday, November 23rd and continuing through Sunday, November 29th, drivers can expect an increased police presence on the city streets as the Salina Police Department joins with 150 other law enforcement agencies in aggressively enforcing DUI’s, seatbelt and child restraints, and other traffic laws as part of the 2015 S.T.E.P. Thanksgiving Holiday Traffic Enforcement Campaign.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells The Salina Post the campaign is supported by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
“Our main focus will be on DUI Enforcement as well as seatbelts and child restraints,” Sweeney said.
