Abilene, KS – The Great Plains Theatre in Abilene continues its 21st Season with She Loves Me. The holidays are here and with the yuletide celebrations comes the annual GPT holiday musical. This year, GPT proudly presents the musical comedy She Loves Me.
Based on the play and film The Shop Around the Corner (which also inspired the movie You’ve Got Mail), She Loves Me follows the story of two shop clerks who despise each other at work, not knowing they are in love with each other as anonymous pen pals. As the holidays draw near and the pressures of the Christmas shopping rush set in, will they discover the truth or aggravate each other to the point of quitting? With a festive and lovely score by the composers of Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me promises to be a joyous show that is guaranteed to put even the biggest Scrooge in the holiday spirit.
The production is directed by Mark Robinson. The Musical Director is Clayton Avery. Mark Warner will serve as Technical Director. Peggy Riley will design costumes and Heather Hill will serve as stage manager.
The cast of She Loves Me will feature Actors’ Equity Member Caleb Donahoe, Laura Ernst, Anne Lasater, Benjamin Wolfred, Nick Albrecht, Brendon Dalton, Michael J. Parker, Clayton Avery, Justin A. Doro, Stephen G. Tabor, Shera Haase, Madison Kauffman and Emily Senkowsky.
