Kansas abortion activist arrested in Wyoming while handing out graphic pamphlets

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) – Two abortion protesters were arrested near a Boy Scout fundraiser in Jackson for allegedly violating a city restraining order to keep clear of the event.

Jackson Police Lt. Bob Gilliam says the men were arrested about noon Saturday. The men were allegedly passing out graphic pamphlets showing aborted fetuses near a town square where Boy Scouts were holding an annual elk antler auction to raise money.

The men arrested were Chet Gallagher of Las Vegas and Mark Holick of Wichita, Kan. Gilliam says the men are members of an anti-abortion group called Operation Save America.

Gallagher and Holick were released Saturday afternoon and have Teton County court dates in two weeks. They face misdemeanor charges.
