A counterfeit $10 bill was found Monday in the bank deposit of a convenience store. The bogus bill was passed at Rod’s, 1727 W. Crawford, and found in the deposit at Bennington State Bank.

A Toyota Camry stolen Monday evening is quickly found. Anthony Woods said the car was taken between 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. from the Airport Apartments, 2764 Berschel. The keys had been left inside the car. The car was found in the parking lot of the Salina Rescue Mission, 1716 Summers Road, with damage to the left rear panel. No damage estimate was available.

A Salina man was arrested on three counts of forgery and theft. 33-year-old Michael Norris is alleged to haven stolen personal checks from Matthew Short and Lisa Short of rural Salina in November. Norris made out two checks to himself on the account of Matthew Short on November 23rd and November 24th totaling $900. The checks were cashed at First Bank Kansas. A check from the bank account of Lisa Short in the amount of $700 was cashed on December 1st at American Ag Credit. Surveillance video aided the police in their investigation.

A Salina Police officer recognized a driver that had outstanding municipal court warrants, and arrested the man on additional charges during a traffic stop late Monday evening. 28-year-old William Hulsey was stopped in a car in the 2100 block of W. Crawford just after 11 p.m. While being arrested on the outstanding warrants, the officer found personal use methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a counterfeit $100 bill. Hulsey was booked into jail on drug charges and forgery charges for the counterfeit C-note, suspended drivers license, and forgery.
