Salina PD Promotes Four Officers – Salina Post Archive

The Salina Police Department has announced the promotion of four officers.

On Tuesday, the department announced that Officers Sarah Cox, Paul Forrester, Scott Hogeland, and Mike Miller were all promoted.

Forrester has been promoted to the rank of Captain, while Cox, Hogeland, and Miller have all been promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Forrested previously served under the rank of Lieutenant, overseeing the Internal Affairs department. Cox and Hogeland previously served in the Criminal Investigations Department and Miller served under the rank of Master Police Officer, primarily in the Traffic Unit.

The promotions came less than a week after the department lost three officers. Master Police Officer Randy Jennings, Captain Jim Norton, and Lieutenant Gerald Shaft all retired on Friday. They left the department after a combined total of 86 years of service. The department also recently lost Lieutenant Russ Lamer, who retired in September after more than 30 years of service.
