Police arrested a 29-year-old woman Wednesday evening after she allegedly beat another woman and threatened her with a knife.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said Robin Harrington is accused of hitting a woman in the head during an argument at about 5 p.m. Wednesday evening at a east Salina home.

Harrington also pulled a knife and went toward the woman before another person stopped her. A Christmas tree was also knocked over and ornaments were damaged.

The victim was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of bruises on her face.

Harrington was arrested on requested charges of battery, aggravated assault, and damage to property.
