A Salina man comes home Monday just before noon and finds a burglar inside his home.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said Benjamin Vidricksen walked into his home in the 1300 block of Beverly and found 39-year-old Gerald Brown inside.

Brown was in the process of taking items that were valued around $60 that included a pair of pliers, a pocket knife, a tape measure, a magnetic drill bit, and a headlamp.

Brown was taken into custody and faces requested charges of aggravated burglary and theft.
