Hazardous winter weather looks to impact much of central and south central Kansas for Saturday night and especially on Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Periods of freezing rain and sleet will be possible for locations around the Kansas Turnpike, with some ice accumulations expected. Meanwhile further west locations should see areas of snow, heavy at times develop on Sunday and continue through into Monday morning. Travel will become hazardous across much of the region due likely slick road ways. Heavy rainfall could cause some minor flooding and local rises on area creeks and rivers across far Southeast Kansas.
