UPDATE: An Ohio man was injured Tuesday evening after he was struck by a van on N. 9th, just north of I-70.

Salina Master Police Officer Rande Repp said 41-year-old Martti Brannlund of Cardington, Ohio was walking east across 9th street, when he was struck by a southbound van driven by 41-year-old Kristina Stockamp of Bennington.

Brannlund was transported to Salina Regional Health Center by EMS with serious injuries. Stockamp was not injured.

The accident occurred at 7 p.m.
