OTTAWA COUNTY- One person was injured in an accident just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Ottawa County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Chrysler passenger vehicle driven by Alberto Jose Garcia, 34, San Marcos, CA., was northbound on U.S. 81, just north of Salina.

The vehicle rear-ended a semi.

Garcia was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.

The semi driver was not injured.
