ST. JOHN, Kan.– Two people have been killed in Stafford County after a tree blew across the highway into their vehicle.

Local officials say three people were traveling on Highway 281 near Barton County, when they pulled off to the side of the highway a possible tornado blew a tree into their vehicle.

Two occupants were killed and one survived.
