A single vehicle accident just south of the Ottawa/Saline County line Thursday afternoon has claimed the life of a Solomon woman.

Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Roger Soldan said 62-year-old Rebekah Lehman was northbound in the 6300 block of Simpson Road around 2 p.m., when she lost control of her 2003 Ford Explorer, went into the west ditch and rolled at least once.

A passerby discovered the accident around 2:50 p.m. and called for help.

Lehman, who was wearing her seat belt, was taken to Salina Regional Health Center where she died.
