Applications for Vendors Being Accepted For Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair

Applications are now being accepted for vendors at the Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair, which happens in downtown Salina, adjacent to the Museum at 211 West Iron Avenue. The Street Fair includes a parade, musical acts, children’s activities and other related events like the Salina Journal’s Chili Cook-Off contest. The Street Fair takes place on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

Last year the Smoky Hill Museum introduced a new sales area for packaged food items and made in Kansas products called The Corner Pantry. We encourage Kansas based artisans and crafters to sell items ranging from packaged baked goods, spices, soup and dip mixes to hand‐crafted jewelry, wood working, quilted items, hand poured candles, and hand‐made soaps. If you have a question about the suitability of your products, please call Lisa Upshaw at 785.309.5776. Last year, over 8,300 people attended the Street Fair. The Corner Pantry has the potential to attract a significant number of eager buyers and provide an excellent opportunity for vendor success.

An application with exhibitor information is available now, from the Smoky Hill Museum. There is a non-refundable application fee, of $25. No further commission or additional charges will be collected from selected vendors for The Corner Pantry. Deadline for applications is August 15, 2011. Download an application at
