A 46-year-old Salina woman was arrested early Thursday morning after stabbing a man twice with a kitchen knife during a disturbance at an east Salina home.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said Tina L. Kemp is alleged to have stabbed a 26-year-old man in the chest and cut his left hand during an argument just after midnight Thursday morning.

The man was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of his wounds.

Kemp was booked into the Saline County Jail on a requested charge of aggravated battery.
