A 22 year old Salina man arrested early Thursday morning on a charge of attempted 1st degree murder.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that Eric Patrick of 629 W. Crawford stabbed 45 year old Leslie Williams of 622 S. 9th in the head 6 times with a 8″blade kitchen knife after the two had exchange heated text messages after being out earlier in the evening at Sunset Billiards.

The incident took place just after 5am Thursday morning at Patrick’s home .

Williams was stabbed once in the forehead and 5 times in the top of the head. The injuries are not life threatening.
