Louis Sherman “Lou” Pacsuta, 72, of Salina, passed away Sunday, January 17th, at Salina Regional Health Center, Kansas.
Lou was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 20, 1943, to the late Ethel (Wheeler) and Louis Pacsuta.
Lou was the husband of Donna Pacsuta. He served in the United States Army for 23 years in active duty and 22 years in civil service.
Survivors include, his wife, Donna of the home; daughter, Teresa Sliger, of Rose Hill, Kansas; sons, Joe Cliffton and wife Mindy, of Haysville, Kansas and John Cliffton, and wife Ginger, of Salina; brother, Joe Pacsuta, and wife Phyllis, of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Kathy Jelen, of Cleveland, Ohio and Mary Demas, of Cleveland, Ohio; as well as 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been chosen and at the family’s request there will be no visitation.
Memorial services will be at Emmanuel Foursquare Church,at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22nd, with Pastor Loren Houltberg officiating.

Dolores May Gawith, 87, Salina, died Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was born September 3, 1928 to William and Grace Stanley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Randy Gawith; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her children Steve (Susan) Gawith, Mike (Barbara) Gawith, Larry (Jodi) Gawith all of Salina, and Debbie (Mike) Meier of Beloit; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5-7. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Minneapolis Public Library or Salina Public Library.

Christopher Roy Baker, 58, of Salina, passed away of a sudden heart attack Friday, Jan. 15, 2016. He was born in Clay Center to Ernest and Norma (Hinkel) Baker.
Chris was a crane operator for more than 40 years and a member of Local Union 101. He loved hunting and fishing and everything outdoors.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Ernest, and grandson, Joseph.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Baker, of Abilene; wife, Debra Baker; daughter, Ashley Peters, of Iowa; son, Brandon Baker, of Manhattan; six grandchildren and one more on the way; two stepchildren, Michael and Melissa Suskey; five stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; sister, Debra Reiman, of McPherson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

Janette (Bergman) Doyle, 59, of Abilene, passed away January 16, 2016, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A celebration of Janette’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016, at LifeHouse Church, Abilene. Kerry Coup will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Lunch will follow the service at LifeHouse Church.
A private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Life House Church, Abilene or Brookdale Hospice, Salina.
Janette was born June 1, 1956 in Lincoln, Kansas, the daughter of John and Alberta Bergman. She grew up in Hunter and Osborne Kansas, graduating from Osborne High School in 1974.
Janette enjoyed working in nursing homes, both with the residents she helped and the staff that she came to consider as close friends. Most recently, she was the Health and Wellness Director at Brookdale II of Abilene.
She enjoyed crafting, traveling, and bowling. She loved tailgating with the Bleacher Creatures at K-state football games and enjoyed cheering for the KC Royals and Denver Broncos. Janette loved “junking” and had a booth at Mud Creek Antiques. She cared deeply for her four legged friend, Bear.
She was a member of the LifeHouse Church and enjoyed going to her Tuesday night women’s group.
Most of all, Janette loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Doyle of Abilene. Children, Heather (Jamie) Hadenfeldt of Cairo, Nebraska, Seth Nonamaker of Abilene, Kansas, Sean (Natalie) Nonamaker of Lafayette, Oregon, Amber Doyle of Garden City, Kansas and Stephanie (Derrick) Downie of Concordia, Kansas. Grandchildren include Abby Hadenfeldt, Addy and Jax Nonamaker, and Knox and Elle Nonamaker. She is also survived by her father, John Bergman and sister, Judy Wagoner (Dave), of Osborne, Kansas.
Janette was preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Bergman, on October 21, 2015.

Willetta J. “Billie” Weis was born August 24, 1942 the daughter of Otto F. and Letha Odle in Junction City, Kansas. Billie spent most of her young life in the Junction City area graduating from Junction City High School.
She was a nurse aid for Salina Regional Health Center and for nursing homes in the Abilene area and also worked for home health care.
Billie was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a teletype operator in Germany and enjoyed playing the piano and crossword puzzles.
On July 7, 1973 she married Donald Weis in Omaha, Nebraska. He survives of the home in Enterprise. Other survivors include her daughter Alicia Hamm of Abilene, Kansas; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Billie passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her home in Enterprise. Cremation is planned and there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Abilene with Pastor Derick Hood officiating. Nancy Jo Chindamo, the daughter of Francesco and Pearl Sutton Chindamo departed this life January 17, 2016 at Abilene Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.
Nancy was born on July 26, 1938 in Ft. Riley, Kansas. She graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 1956. Nancy also attended Wesleyan from 1957-1958 in Salina, Kansas. She attended the First Baptist Church of Abilene. She was a very avid Chiefs fan and watched every game. One of her last moments was watching the Chiefs playoff game.
Nancy worked for Ershams –CE-ABB Raymond of Enterprise, Kansas for approximately 35 years in the Human Resource Department until retiring in 1996 when the Enterprise plant was closed.
Nancy was never married but always loved every niece and nephews as if they were her children. Nancy always treated everyone with Love, Kindness, Generosity and Respect. She was a very special person to our family and many others. Nancy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Frances Parsons, Phyllis Chindamo and brother, Max Chindamo of Abilene.
Nancy is survived by one sister, Beverly Samuelson of Abilene and several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service for Nancy will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Abilene with Pastor Jack Gilstrap officiating. MARION – Mrs. Lila “Lucille” Bredemeier, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2016, at Bethesda Home in Goessel, Kansas. She was born May 25, 1925, in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Sylvia (Wathous) Judd of Cottonwood Falls; her husband, Charles “Junior” Bredemeier, of Marion; her sister, Doris L. Foster, and brother, Gene Judd of Cottonwood Falls; and her daughter, Shirley Bredemeier of Northwood, New Hampshire. Lucille was a graduate of Chase County Community High School in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Upon graduation, she worked for the phone company in Cottonwood and Marion and later worked at Marion National Bank in Marion, Kansas. Lucille and Junior were married in Marion in February of 1945. She was an accomplished trumpet player and entertained many local groups with her musical skill. She could also yodel and enjoyed demonstrating that to all who would ask her to. Lucille loved to paint, especially china and oils; enjoyed bird watching and she adored her dog “Precious.” She and Junior loved to camp & were active members of the Marionettes Camping Club. They began camping in a tent and eventually moved up to a nice RV camper. They were a terrific couple that loved life and each other. Lucille is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Bredemeier and wife Carole. Grandchildren Wade (Christine) and Jeremy (Mari) Bredemeier, and her great grandchildren Emma Joy, Dillon Carl and Jase Walker. Lucille will be lovingly remembered by the Judd and Bredemeier families as well as many long time friends. The family will meet with friends on Monday, Jan 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm Street, Marion, Kansas until the funeral service begins at 10:30. We mourn the loss of Tracie Alyn Witkop of Pooler, Georgia who passed away on January 12, 2016 after an automobile accident in Effingham, Georgia.
Tracie is survived by her adoring husband Robert Witkop of Pooler, Georgia; mother and step-father Nancy and Thomas Cunningham of Arlington, Texas; Father James Abbott of Lawton, Oklahoma and step-mother Carolyn Jones Bair of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Jeremy Matherly of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Bryan Matherly of Topeka, Kansas.
Tracie was born September 13, 1982 in Newton, Kansas. She was a Navy Veteran and was a Army wife to Robert Witkop (active duty Army). Tracie and Robert were married with closest friends in Savannah, Georgia on January 13, 2013 and renewed their vows in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 2, 2013 with family members that could celebrate the family union.
Tracie was passionate about playing and competing in Billiards; she competed in tournaments and has trophies of her excellent skills at the Billiard Tables; as well as being loved, respected with her team mates and her competition. The Billiard community in and around the State of Georgia that experienced this passion in Tracie at the tables are deeply saddened by her passing and have a memorial to gather in Savannah, Georgia.

Edna Lee (Reed) Taylor passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, surrounded by three generations of family, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas, at the age of 94. She was born on November 10, 1921 in Stockton, Kansas to the late Willis D. and Winnie May (Anderson) Reed. She grew up in Rooks County, Kansas and graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1939. She went on to attend Normal School in Hays receiving her Teaching Certificate so she could teach school in Bazine and Stockton. On June 2, 1945 she was united in marriage to Charles Albert Taylor in Stockton.
After teaching school for several years, Edna Lee was happy to start life as a wife, mother, and homemaker. When she wasn’t too busy raising her family, she enjoyed reading, photography, gardening, playing cards, especially Pinochle, and was an avid fan of Fox News. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woodston and the United Methodist Women. After moving to Hays, she attended the First Presbyterian Church.
Second only to her love for God, was her love for her family. Indeed they were her reason for living and being. She always enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whenever possible. As the matriarch of the family, she was also the family historian and genealogy expert. Over the years she collected an entire library of family records and established lifelong relationships with extended family members across the country and around the world.
Edna Lee is survived by her sons John Taylor and wife Kathie of Hays, Paul Taylor and wife Colleen of Hays, and Tracy Lee Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK; daughters Bertha May Taylor of Mission, and Barbara Ellen Mullen and husband John of Dodge City; brother Clyde D. Reed and wife Elizabeth of Torrance, CA; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willis D. and Winnie May Reed, husband Charles Albert Taylor, and brother Irwin Reed.
Edna Lee was truly a woman of faith, hope, and love. Selflessly looking after her family and friends, she cared more about others than she did herself and showed us through thought, word, and deed that the greatest of these was love. As she rejoices in Heaven with her loving heavenly father and the family who have gone before her, we will love and miss her until we all meet again on the streets of gold.

Gladys Northup passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 90. Gladys was born May 9, 1925 in Graham County, Kansas to Samuel and Grace Iva (Hebert) Davis. She attended Webster School and the Assembly of God Church in Webster, Kansas where she was baptized in the Solomon River at the age of seven. On October 4, 1942 Gladys was united in marriage to Ralph Northup in Stockton, Kansas. They were blessed with three daughters, Judy, Patty and Vicki. The family made their home in Webster until 1951 when they moved to Stockton.
Gladys was a member of the United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary for eleven years and Sunday school teacher for over thirty years. She was a member of the Ladies V. F. W. Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed helping with 4-H and Girl Scouts. She also liked gardening, reading, cooking and photography. But above all else, the greatest joy of her life was her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Together, they had a special bond of love that went both ways. She loved all the children and they all loved her.
