Salina Police, responding to an alarm early Wednesday morning, catch a burglar.

Captain Mike Sweeney said officers were sent to Callabresi Heating and Cooling on Armory Road at about 12:20 a.m.

When they arrived they saw a man leaving the business, but when he noticed the police, he went back inside.

After obtaining a key to get inside, police searched the building before finding 30-year-old Ryan Howser of Salina in the attic hiding behind some boxes.

Police found a tan canvas bag near a door which contained heating and cooling items valued at $1,429.

Howser was arrested on requested charges of burglary, theft, and obstruction.
