Karen (Lewick) Shivers, 76, of Salina, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. She was born June 10, 1939 in Ellsworth, the daughter of Gene and Chloris (Henderickson) Lewick.
Karen received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fort Hays State University in 1972 and a Masters of Science in Special Education from FHSU in 1976. She taught two years for the Smith County Special Education COOP and then moved to Salina in 1974. She taught 27 years for Central Kansas COOP and Roosevelt-Lincoln Middle School, retiring in 2001. The last several years she did substitute teaching for USD 305.
She was a member of University United Methodist Church, Silver Needles Quilt Guild, Kansas Federation of the Council for Exceptional Children and the quilting groups A-Team, Material Girls and Quilting Sisters. Karen greatly enjoyed quilting, cross-stitching, painting, reading and spending time with family and her dogs.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Angie Faber and husband Creighton, of Salina; a granddaughter, Kristy Tewes, of Durango, Colorado; a brother, Larry Lewick, of Salina and a nephew, Ty Lewick, of Liberal.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at University United Methodist Church, 1509 S. Santa Fe Ave., Salina. Memorials may be made to the Karen Shivers Memorial Fund in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.

Dennis Darnell Campbell, 51, of Salina died Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born May 29, 1964 at Lawrence, Kansas.
Survivors include: his daughter Amarrah Campbell; son Shakeim Campbell; parents Shirley and Kelly Jones all of Salina; three sisters Monica Spence of Orlando, Florida, Vickie Stubbs of Carlton, Texas, and Yvette Jones of Marrietta, Georgia; uncles Virgil Campbell of Temple Hill, Maryland and Michael Campbell of Dallas Texas; aunt Karen Scroggins of Junction City; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, 215 S. Chicago, Salina. Memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center and may be left at or sent in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N Eighth Street, Salina.

Lillian Mae McIntosh, 83,of Salina, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at her home in Salina. She was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbur and Mary Lillian (Hughes) Gott. She had worked 18 years for School Specialty Warehouse and had operated a daycare for 15 years.
She was a member of the Salina Bowling League and a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, painting and reading.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren, Michael and Tiana (Rodgers) Geer.
Lillian married Wendell Eugene McIntosh on Dec. 27, 1951. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Randy McIntosh and two daughters, Sandra Skytte (John) and Jennefer Barnes (James). She has six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of Salina.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, in the Chapel on the campus of St. John’s Military School.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Support Group.

Kenneth Bourbina Sr.
93, passed away Tuesday, January 20th, in Abilene. He was born August 12, 1922 in the Holland Community, the son of Matthew and Stella (Morrison) Bourbina. Growing up, Kenneth attended Ash grove District 119 and Scotia District 55 schools. He was and World War II Army Veteran serving in the European Theater decorated with the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals. On October 9, 1946 Kenneth married Bonnie Lou Mock. The early years of their marriage was spent farming in the Holland Community before moving to Abilene in 1959. In 1958 he became a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1982. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with friends, his antique cars and farming. Bonnie preceded him in death June 13, 2010. He was a member of the American Legion, D.V.A. and V.F.W. Kenneth was also preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Bourbina; a sister, Lucile McCain and two brothers, Lawrence and Walter Bourbina.

Gary F. (Bogey) Bogart, age 72, passed away on Tues., Jan. 19, 2016 at Republic Co. Hospital, Belleville, KS. He was born on Aug. 12, 1943 in Concordia, KS to Joseph S. & Celia B. (Hubert) Bogart.
Gary graduated from Concordia Catholic High School in 1961. He married Marilyn J. Mosher on Nov. 27, 1965 in Concordia, KS. Gary worked for the Concordia Police Dept. before entering the US Army and serving during the Vietnam conflict. Upon his return from active duty, he went back to work for the police department and later worked for 35 years for Aquila Electric until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, American Legion Post #76, past member of Moose Lodge #1428 & VFW Post #588. He enjoyed hunting, bow hunting, fishing & spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Concordia; daughters, Diane Morrissette (Dan), Concordia & Annette Beaumont (Randy), Assaria; sisters, Alice Lowell (Fred), K.C., MO, Carol Thomason, Gallup, NM & Sheryl Tice (Leland), Mankato; brother, David Bogart (Linda), Concordia; grandchildren, Jake Morrissette (Charissa), Farmington, NM, Anna Morrissette, Hutchinson & Allie & Amber Beaumont, Assaria; his best friend, Jim “Red” Lanoue, Concordia & several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents & brothers, Donald & James Bogart.

Pamela Elizabeth Loy, 72, recent resident of Lucas,
Kansas and former resident of Lacon, Illinois, died on Monday, January 18, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Lucas, Kansas, with her two daughters Joan and Janette by her side.
Pamela was born on November 29, 1943, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Daniel and Charlotte E. (Hull) Nye. She grew up in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Natrona County High School in the class of 1964. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Fred B. Ryan on March 11, 1961 in Casper, Wyoming. From this union they were blessed with 3 children Janette, James, and Joan. Fred preceded her in death on November 04, 1999. Pamela was fortunate to find love a second time and was united in marriage to Robert V. “Bob” Loy on July 30, 1983 in Lacon, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2016. She worked as a Certified Public Account and was the owner and operator of the “Dime Store” and eventually established the Antique Store. She and Bob loved traveling and shopping for antiques and loved playing bridge with friends. One of their favorite past times was to take short road trips to put a $20.00 bill in the “Gold Fish” slot machine. She was a member of the Church of Christ and volunteered for many of the church activities. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and loved spending time quilting and researching family genealogy. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, and she especially loved spending time with her many grandchildren and extended grandchildren.
Surviving family include her two daughters Janette Mitchell and Husband Jeff of San Antonio Texas, and Joan Pool and husband Frank of Lucas, Kansas; sisters Patricia Stewart and husband Rick of San Antonio, Texas and Nancy Mason and husband Jerry of Casper, Wyoming; grandchildren Lacey (David) Soukup, Wendi Pool, Brandon Pool, Tracy, Kelcy, Morgan, Teagan, Max, Wes, Carl, Elizabeth, Chad and Rebecca Loy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob V. Loy and first husband Fred B. Ryan; son James “Jim” Ryan; grandson James M. Ryan and stepmother Evelyn (McCoskrie) Loy.
A private family gathering to honor Pamela’s life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Lonnie Ann (Warner) Munk, 69, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones, at the Russell Regional Hospital.
Lonnie was born December 31, 1946 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Hugh and Gladys Warner. Her mother died at an early age, and Hugh “Pop” married Dorothy “Corkey”. She grew up in Edinburg, Texas and graduated from Smiley High School in Houston, Texas.
Lonnie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Clyde Munk, on March 6, 1970 in Houston, Texas. They made their home in Russell County. Clyde preceded her in death on July 27, 1992.
Lonnie worked at the Hays Medical Center for almost 25 years, working mainly in Admissions. She was the co-owner of the Gorham Café during the 1970’s. She also worked in the Gorham convenience store and was a waitress at the Elks Lodge in Russell. Lonnie will be remembered for her unwavering strength, zest for life and the tremendous love she had for her family. She was a hard working woman who enjoyed gardening, lawn work, doing crafts, reading and puzzles. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Gorham and the Daughter’s of Isabella.
Lonnie will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Kelly Reddig (Eric) of Russell, Kansas; her son, Jeff Scarborough (Kris) of Russell, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jessica Stoppel (Blake) of Salina, Lucas Munk Scarborough (Katie) of Russell, Kylie Reddig and Hunter Reddig of Russell; and two great grandchildren, Elijah Munk Scarborough and Daxton Munk Scarborough of Russell; four brothers, Hugh Warner, Jr. (Nadine) of Humble, Texas, Frank Warner (Donna) of LaVernia, Texas, Edward Warner (Julie) of Hoschton, Georgia and Wayne Cockrill of Bellaire, Texas; sisters, Joy Estrada of Katy, Texas, Kathy Holley (Woody) of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Charlie Munk (Verna) of Gorham: sisters-in-law, Carol Price of Abilene, Kansas, Corine Gideon (Darold) of Russell, Kansas, Carlotta Lyons (Jeff) of Leavenworth, Kansas, Cyndi Dugan of Dubois, Wyoming, and Kate Debes (John) of Hoisington, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers; Forrest Warner, Kenneth Warner, and Jimmy Cockrill; two sisters, Dorothy Miller, and June Black; and niece, Megan Escalante.
Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gorham. Burial of Ashes will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Gorham. Family will be greeting friends from 9:00 AM to Service time at the Church on Monday. Contributions may be made to the Lonnie Munk Memorial Fund.
