A 27-year-old man, accused of stealing a commercial washer and dryer from the laundry room of an apartment complex, is caught quickly.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said Patrick E. Dale was seen by witnesses taking the appliances from the apartments at 2140 E. Crawford at around 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning. The washer and dryer, along with floor mats taken from the laundry room, were in the pickup Dale was driving when it was stopped near Oakdale Park. The value of the items stolen is placed at $1,240.

Dale was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of burglary, theft, and damage to property.
