A handgun and briefcase were taken in a vehicle burglary sometime between last Thursday and Friday.

Leighton Miller said the briefcase and a Kimber .45 caliber pistol were taken from his pickup while it was parked in the 200 block of Greystone.

There was no sign of forced entry. Total loss is placed at $1,650.
