Introducing Kathy Allen, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Kathy was nominated for the outstanding work she does for our community, specifically with The Ashby House, a homeless shelter in Salina.

Kathy has been with The Ashby House for 18 years and currently serves as the Program Director at the facility. As part of her duties, she specifically helps women with alcohol and drug dependency problems. Kathy spends countless hours of her own time to help build a better agency and help women and families in need within our community.

Kathy also assists other agencies and activities such as Salina Area Free Stuff on Facebook and Jordan’s Helping Hands.

If there is a cause or need to help people in Salina, you can bet Kathy is there helping with it. She is an empowering woman who helps others in need and encourages others to follow in her footsteps.

“I just keep trying to do the next right thing,” she said.
