Counterfeit Bill Passed at Salina Restaurant

Counterfeit moneyPolice are investigating after a counterfeit $20 bill was used at a Salina restaurant Wednesday.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney says the counterfeit bill was passed sometime between 1 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. at Burger King, 316 E. Iron. The bogus bill was discovered in a cash register by a member of management.

Counterfeit bills have been on the rise in Salina in recent months and have been used at several area restaurants and convenience stores.
