The Southeast of Saline Trojans are gearing up for the Class 3A Sub-State basketball tournaments, which are set to take place beginning February 29th in Gypsum.
The Trojan boys enter Sub-State as the 2nd seed with a record of 17-3 on the season. They will face 7th seeded Hutchinson Trinity, 6-13, in the first round at 7 p.m. on Monday. Hesston is the #1 overall seed in the bracket with a record of 18-2.
The Lady Trojans also find themselves as the 2nd seed in their bracket. They enter Sub-State with an overall record of 15-5 on the season. They will take on 7th seeded Halstead, 6-14, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The girls bracket is led by top-seeded Hesston. They enter the Sub-State tournament with an overall record of 16-4.
The Sub-State semi-finals and championship games will take place at Halstead High School.
The winners of both brackets will then advance to the Class 3A State Championship Tournaments at Hutchinson Community College beginning March 9th.
