A 14-year-old Salina girl was taken to the hospital for treatment after the UTV she was driving slid off a road and turned over late Saturday afternoon.
Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Roger Soldan said Madisen Thomason was going northbound in the 3300 block of S. Lightville Road at around 5:20p.m., when the Polaris Ranger she was driving passed a car going south and the Ranger slid off the road and turned over.
Thomason passed out briefly after the incident. A passenger, 17-year-old Tyler Weems, had a few abrasions but did not seek medical help. Both Thomason and Weems were not wearing seatbelts.
