According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2008 Toyota sedan was changing lanes to pass and ran off the roadway overcorrected and struck the guard rail on I-70, 3.8 miles east of Niles Road.

Carol P. Linville, 80, from Dallas, TX was driving with one passenger, Walter O. Linville, 81.

Walter Linville was transported to Salina Regional Hospital with unspecified injuries. Carol Linville was not injured.

The accident occurred just after 11am.
