Salina Senior Center To Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet

salina_senior_centerThe Salina Senior Center will be participating in the Saline County Sheriff’s Office’s Operation Medicine Cabinet as a part of Older Americans Month 2016 activities.
A deputy from the Sheriff’s Office is scheduled to be in the Dining Room of the Salina Senior Center, 245 N. 9th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th, to collect unused and unneeded medication. If you are unable to bring your medications to the Salina Senior Center during the scheduled time, please take them directly to the Sheriff’s Office, next door to the Salina Senior Center, so they can be disposed of properly.
Throughout May, the Salina Senior Center and its parent organization, the Saline County Commission on Aging (COA), will have a variety of special activities to celebrate Older Americans Month. Schedules are available at the Salina Senior Center’s first floor Reception Desk or on the COA website at www.salinecoa.org . “Blaze a Trail” is the national theme for this year’s Older Americans Month celebration.
