Introducing Jonathan Sotomayor, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Jonathan was nominated for creating and founding the organization, Warrior Joe’s Social Club.

Warrior Joe’s is an organization that Johnathan started with the help of a few military veterans. The organization’s primary function is to help displaced veterans in the Salina area with financial assistance, employment, living arrangements, and to provide additonal resources to help me them get back on their feet.

Recently, Jonathan met a veteran that had nowhere to go. He was able to assist him with finding a job and even found him a temporary place to stay.

Johnathan also organizes and hosts many events through Warrior Joe’s that benefit local veterans such as an upcoming food drive to be held at a Salina Dillons store, a Veterans Day 5K race, and even a kayaking event. Johnathan and Warrior Joe’s also hold events for veterans and the public to enjoy on many holidays such as Easter and Memorial Day.

All of these things are made possible by people like Jonathan and groups such as Warrior Joe’s as well as other groups throughout the community that go out of their way to help local veterans that come across hard times no matter their situation.
