Vandals caused about $1,000 damage to a Genie skid loader while parked in the 1400 block of Woodward Road sometime between July 4th and July 7th.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan said the loader had the windows shot out of it with a shotgun.

The loader had been rented from Foley Equipment of Salina.
