Someone used what most likely was fireworks to blow up a mailbox just east of Salina Sunday afternoon.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan said some type of explosive was used to destroy the mail box of Shelly Hansen in the 3200 block of E. Country Club Road about 12:30p.m.

The loss is $75. The incident is being investigated as an Arson.
