SALINE COUNTY – In addition to the strong winds from Thursday’s storm, heavy rainfall was reported in many areas of central Kansas.
However, the .40 of an inch of moisture was the most significant amount reported in Saline County.
Central Dickinson County received over 1.5 inches of rain. In Ellsworth County, residents reported .90 of moisture.
Many areas of McPherson County received over an inch of rain.
Southeast portions of Lincoln County reported .27 of an inch.
The National Weather Service forecast indicates more rain is possible over the weekend.
The is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. on Friday.
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 1am and 4am on Friday night and early Saturday.
There is also a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday night.
