Salina Police are investigating after several tires were punctured on at least 10 vehicles in a central Salina neighborhood.
Captain Mike Sweeney said an officer was sent to the area of University Place and Baker Street after a man discovered that tires on two of his vehicles had been damaged. The driver’s side front tire on one vehicle and the driver’s side front tire of another vehicle had been punctured while they were parked in the 100 block of University Place.
Police investigating the incident also found damage to tires on the driver’s sides of at least eight other vehicles in the area. Those vehicles were parked in the 900 block of University Place, the 600 block of W. Iron Avenue, the 500 block of State Street, the 800 block of Morrison Avenue, the 400 block of Putnam Avenue, the 200 block of S. 10th Street, the 300 block of S. 10th Street, and the 800 block of University Place.
Sweeney said all of the vehicles were damaged between midnight and 9:25 a.m. Friday. He said it is believed all of the incidents are connected.
Total damage in the case has been estimated at over $1,000.
