LeAnna Brooks was born on November 9, 1914 in Admire, Kansas and went to be with her Lord on August 5, 2016 in Leawood, KS.
She was the third child of Earl Nichols and Nora Stinson Nichols.

She spent her childhood and youth on the family farm near Harveyville, KS, and graduated from Harveyville High School in 1933. While attending business school in Topeka, she accepted a job with Southwestern Bell, where she met her future husband, Henry C. Brooks. They were married on November 17, 1939. After being stationed in New York during WWII, they returned to St.Joseph, MO and returned to work for Southwestern Bell.

In 1949, their son, William Brooks was born and in 1952, they moved to Salina, where Mr. Henry Brooks remained with Southwestern Bell until his retirement.

In Salina, LeAnna was an active member of the University Methodist Church for 53 years. In 2005, LeAnna moved to Leawood, KS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brooks, and sisters; Maude Nichols Harvey, Margaret Nichols Boline, and Helen
Nichols Bradford.

Leanna is survived by her son; William H. Brooks, MD, grandchildren; Adam (Tiffany) Brooks of Ocala, FL, Molly (Adam) Dixon, and Matthew Brooks, MD, both of Overland Park, and great grandchildren; Asher, Bram, and Nora Dixon of Overland Park. She is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10 am, at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall
Rd. Kansas City, MO 64114.

A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 17, to be followed by a
reception at University Methodist Church.

Anna Marie Perkins, 65, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016. She was born May 19, 1951, in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of William and Maxine (LaPine) Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Rick, of Jamestown; three children, Mike Cox and wife Becky, of Independence, Mo., Stacy Flower and husband Patrick, of Minneapolis, and Brian Merritt and wife Kayla, of Wakefield: and four grandchildren, Kayla, Skylur, McKinley and Miles.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.

Ruth Jeanne Bombardier, age 91, left this earthly life on Tues., Aug. 9, 2016 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. She was born on June 25, 1925 in Gaylord, Kansas to Frederick C. & Otha F. (Fletcher) Mugridge.

Ruth was a 1943 graduate of Gaylord High School, Gaylord, Kansas. She married Isadore “Izzy” Bombardier on June 3, 1946 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2012. Ruth was a homemaker, but more importantly was always beside Izzy, supporting him and their family and the community of Concordia. Ruth was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Aux., Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Hospital Aux., Volunteer at Mt. Joseph Nursing Home & a host of other organizations. Ruth’s focus was on family, friends and volunteering. Ruth was always greeting everyone with her pleasant smile and loving demeanor. She tried to give each person a little encouragement and compliment every time she spoke to them.

Ruth is survived by her son, Vincent Bombardier (Janette), Olathe; daughter, Linda West (Stephen), Colwich; son in law, Robert Haworth, Salina; sister, Lois Stone, Concordia; grandchildren, Marcus West (Sarah), Wichita, Amy Summers, Colwich, Shawn West, Wichita, Stephanie Huddleston (Scott), Shawnee, Stacie Lopez (Ruben), Plattsmouth, NE., Alissa Janey (Greg), Shakopee, MN, Aaron Bombardier (Xiaowei), Olathe, Kevin Bombardier, Iowa City, IA., Sara Guidry (Parker), Shawnee, Kyle Haworth (Ciara), Cheney & Ryan Haworth (Lindsey), Salina; great grandchildren; Jocelin, Jaden, Makenna, Sidney, Gram, Skylar, Nicholas, Alayna, Josie, Landon, Prudence, Cecilia, Paisley & step grandchildren, Rylee, Haylee and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isadore “Izzy”; a daughter, Paula Haworth & her parents, two brothers, Paul and Carl Mugridge

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia.

Visitation will be from 12-8 pm, Sun., Aug. 14, 2016 with family greeting friends from 4 pm. until Vigil service followed by an Altar Society Rosary at 6 pm. all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Cloud County Health Care of Concordia in care of the funeral home.

SPOKANE, WASHINGTON – Richard Leo Clinesmith, age 85, passed into eternal glory on August 8, 2016, from Hospice House in Spokane, Washington, he was formerly of Whitewater, Kansas. He was born November 9, 1930, in Endicott, Washington, the son of James and Elsie (Honn) Clinesmith. He grew up in Benge, WA, graduated from Washtucna High School, briefly served in the U.S. Army and then graduated from Whitworth College. He taught primary school for several years in the U.S. before moving to Morocco where he continued to teach and met his future wife, Lois Roth. On February 25, 1961, they were united in marriage in Tangier, Morocco. This union was blessed with two children: Mark and Sharon. He and Lois served as missionaries with Avant Ministries (formerly Gospel Missionary Union) in Morocco, Spain, and Alaska until their retirement to Whitewater in 1989. Richard is preceded in death by his son Mark Clinesmith, a brother Harold Clinesmith, and his wife Lois. He is lovingly survived by his daughter Sharon Canada of Spokane, Washington, his granddaughter Stephanie Canada of Hanoi, Vietnam, and his brother Robert Clinesmith of Benge, Washington.

Visitation with family will be held on Saturday, from 6-8 p.m., at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater. Services will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016, with the Committal Service at 2:00 p.m., at the Swiss Cemetery and the Funeral Service will be follow at 3:00 p.m., at the Whitewater Community Church both in Whitewater, Kansas. Eunice L. Brady, 86, passed away August 9, 2016 in Lindsborg, KS. She was born August 15, 1929 to Arch Little and Aneita (Keller) in Ellsworth County. She married Dwight Brady in Ellsworth County on May 1, 1949.

Eunice received her teaching degree from Kansas Wesleyan University. She was a homemaker, teacher, Boogaart’s grocery store clerk, and a clerk at various local stores. She was a member of the Ellsworth First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, and a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Ellsworth.

Eunice is survived by her husband, Dwight Brady of Ellsworth; son, Ron Brady (Cindy) of Kanopolis; daughter, Rhonda Brady Smith (Barrie) of Missoula, MT; daughter, Debbie Binns (Mike) of Scott City, KS; grandchildren, Dan Davis, Brian Binns, Amber Soukup (Luke), Serena Hernandez (Ricky), and Jennifer Tuttle (Brandon); great grandchildren, Gavin Brady, Lynnox Hernandez, Katelyn and Sydney Soukup, and Jackson Tuttle; sister, Lola Brown of New Hampshire; brother, Max Little (Joan) of Canon City, CO; brother, Sam Little (Kathy) of Beverly; brother, Don Little (Betty) of Salina; sister in law, Beula Little of Salina; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Jo; brothers, Lowell and Jack; sister, Beryl Katzenmeier; brothers in law, Amos Katzenmeier and Wilmer Brown; and sister in law, Carol Little.

Graveside service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2016 at Carneiro Cemetery.
