Salina Crime Report – August 16th

1-16 crime report 2A Salina man reports the theft of cellular telephone. James Teutsch said his gold, iPhone 6 with green case was taken while he was in the Public Works Department Office, 300 W. Ash, between 12:15 and 12:34 p.m. The phone is valued at $600.

A Brookville woman tells police a car hauling trailer was stolen while it was parked in northeast Salina. Anita Bird said the TFI dual axle car trailer was parked in the 1400 block of E. Woodland between midnight and 8 a.m. on August 11th. It is blue in color with a wooden floor with red and white pin stripes on the fender, and a Kansas license plate 032-ECO. Total loss was estimated at $1,500.

Salina Police take report of theft of items from an unlocked pickup. Alan Griffith said someone entered his 2004 Toyota Tundra and took a pair of Oakley sunglasses, another pair of sunglasses, an LED flashlight, a 500 GB thumb drive, 10-Kansas Lottery tickets, a tool bag with tools, and a bag with tie downs. Total loss is listed at $684.

Police are looking a stolen vehicle. Marcus Cutler of Manhattan said his 2004 Honda Accord, black in color, was taken while he was at a gathering at 620 Whittinghill just before 10 p.m. Monday night. His keys were taken while he was at the gathering for just a few minutes. The car had Kansas license plate 160-HGW and had black rims and gold lug nuts. The car is valued at $5,000.
