Introducing Kenedy Obrecht, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Kenedy was nominated for her extraordinary efforts in assisting a young girl that has been involved in an accident.

On Sunday, July 31st, Kenedy came upon the scene of the accident at Republic Avenue and Broadway Boulevard. The young girl had been riding a moped and was significantly injured. The girl had not been wearing a helmet and had suffered a head injury.

Kenedy, who has had medical training, helped calm the girl down and keep her stable until emergency personnel arrived at the scene. She spent nearly half an hour with girl until paramedics arrived.

Kenedy said the girl is now doing fine despite having a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain and collar bone injury.

“Sometimes you just do what you have to do,” she said.
