SALINE COUNTY – The late August weather provided more moisture for central Kansas on Thursday night and Friday.
Western portions of Saline County reported .25 of an inch. Central and western portions of Saline County received just under an inch of rain.
Most of Dickinson County reported from .50 to just over one inch of rain.
Residents in Ellsworth County reported .75 to just over one inch of rain.
Southern portions of McPherson County reported 1.37 inches of rain. Other areas of the county received just less than an inch of moisture.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms after 1 p.m. on Friday and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.
