Counterfeit Bill Passed at Salina Retail Store

Counterfeit moneySalina Police are investigating after a counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a Salina retail store.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells The Salina Post that the bogus bill was passed at Dollar Tree, 1210 W. Crawford, sometime between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on August 21st.

Sweeney said the bill was discovered Thursday at Sunflower Bank in a deposit.

Earlier this week, another counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a Salina liquor store and later discovered in a bank deposit. It is not known if the two cases are related.
