Salina Police say a weekend storage shed fire is being investigated as an arson.
Captain Mike Sweeney tells The Salina Post that firefighters were called to a residence at 1111 N. 7th at about 6:16 a.m. Saturday on a report of a shed on fire.
Upon arriving at the residence, firefighters were able to locate a storage shed in the backyard engulfed in flames.
Sweeney said firefighters were able to determine that the fire was intentionally set.
Damage to the shed, which is owned by Cameron Heart, has been estimated at $5,000. Damage to the contents of the shed, which included clothing and a Craftsman lawn mower, has been estimated at $1,000.
