WICHITA, Kan. (AP) – A 10-month-old girl who was pulled from a Wichita hot tub late last week has died at a hospital.

Family members found the baby face down in the hot tub Friday afternoon. KAKE-TV reports she died just before midnight Sunday at a Wichita hospital.

The little girl’s name has not been released. Authorities say she was in the backyard of the home with an adult when she slipped out of a flotation device and climbed into the hot tub. The tub was full of water but was not turned on at the time.

The toddler wasn’t breathing when an adult found her. Emergency crews arrived within minutes and tried to revive her as she was taken to the hospital.
