Kansas Supreme Court Justices Marla Luckert and Carol Beier will hold an informational forum at Kansas Wesleyan University’s Pioneer Hall in Sams Chapel Monday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. Their topic will be “The Role of Fair and Impartial Courts in Kansas Government.”

The presentation is sponsored by the League of Women Voters as their annual Fall Issues Forum. It will be recorded for later broadcast by Smoky Hills Public Television.

The presentation is important for all Kansans, given a continuing movement to vote out or non-retain some Justices.

The Justices will discuss the importance of preserving fair and impartial Kansas courts. They will detail the inner workings of Kansas’ highest court, methods for confronting their most challenging cases, and the most reliable methods for citizens to stay informed. A question-and-answer session with the audience will follow.
