claude-lecklider-1475934042Claude Lewis Lecklider, 75, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 7th.

Claude was born in Kingman, Kansas on September 11, 1941, to Edith (Harrison) and Gene Lecklider.

He was a lifelong farmer/rancher as well as the CK Ranch Foreman and retired as a welder from Premier Pneumatics.

Claude was an active member of the Tri-Rivers Fair Board, Kansas Hereford Association, charter member of the Brookville Lions Club and Brookville Rounders Rodeo Club.

On June 23, 1962, Claude married Linda DeRemus.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; son, Tim Lecklider (Jo) of Brookville; three daughters, Dianne Schulz (John), of Salina, Rebecca James (Lee) of Harrah, Oklahoma, Allison Lecklider, of Salina, sister, Gloria Girrens (Roman) of Shawnee Mission; grandchildren, Dana Lecklider (Chuck), Jennifer Sowers (Travis), Tyler Schulz, Courtney Schulz, Treyton Peterson, Brandon James, Bethanie James, Brady James; great-grandchildren, Charles, Caitlynn and Cristina Livingston, Vernon and Ivan Sowers, Hunter Garst, Gage Schulz,and many family and friends.

Claude is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glee Montover.

Visitation will be Monday, October 10 from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home with family present from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11th at the 4-H Building at the Saline County Fairgrounds, Salina. Come as you are.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tri-Rivers Fair Board for 4-H College Scholarships, Brookville Lions Club or Brookville Rounders Rodeo Club in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.

John W Wolsieffer, 96, of Salina, passed away Thursday, October 6th.

John was born in Rural Saline County, Kansas on March 26, 1920, to the late Nettie O. (Mapes) and Stanley J. Wolsieffer.

He was a Clerk at the United States Post Office for over 30 years and was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 11th, with Father Luke Thelan, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
