The Saline County Sheriff’s Office says a gun was found over the weekend on a rural county road east of Salina.

Undersheriff Roger Soldan said a bicyclist riding on Country Club Road at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday, when he spotted the weapon laying on the north shoulder of the road near Niles Road.

The gun was a fully loaded Smith & Wesson model 36 .38 caliber revolver in a black holster.

Soldan said anyone that may have lost the gun can call the Sheriff’s Office at 785-826-6500 with the serial number in order to claim the weapon.
