Matthew Martin, from the First Tee of Salina, has been selected to attend The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy on August 3-9 at the Karsten Golf Course and Arizona State University.  Martin was selected to join more than 90 other participants of The First Tee at the national event.

Director of The First Tee of Salina, Steve Hardesty said, “This Academy should be a great learning opportunity for Matt, who is a leader of our chapter, at his school, and in his church.  This Academy will help him refine those leadership skills.”

Martin attends Salina Central High School where he participates in golf and swimming.  He is active in his church youth group and has volunteered on several missionary trips in the last two years.  Matt Martin has participated at The First Tee of Salina for many years and reached the Eagle Level, which is the highest possible level for Salina youth.

The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy allows participants to grow as individuals and learn about themselves and others throughout the week.
