Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said officers were sent to the Valero at 848 N. Broadway about 6:30a.m. on the report of a stabbing victim.
They found a woman in her 30’s with a stab wound in her left bicep. She said she had been stabbed with a knife by John Broyles II in a room at the Airliner Motel, 781 N. Broadway.
The woman was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of the wound.
Broyles was taken into custody a short time later. The knife was recovered.
