A home in Hedville is damaged by fire late Thursday night. A passerby discovered the fire just before 11p.m. at the home of Mark Seedorf 141 Railroad.

The man who discovered the fire, Art Bird worked on putting the fire out until Saline County Rural Fire District #3 arrived to fight the fire. There was damage to a floor and wall. Damage estimate is not known.

Cause of fire is still under investigation, but it’s possible it started in a metal bucket will ashes.
