Mrs. Janice M. “Jan” Smith, 72, of Salina, passed away Friday, July 22nd, 2011 at Salina Regional Health Center.

She  was born in Salina, Kansas on November 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lois (Lindquist) Dauer.

She was a high school graduate and attended two years of college.

Jan worked as an office manager, and she attended the methodist church in Linwood while living in the area.

On August 20, 1957 she married Dale Smith.  He precedes her in  death.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Smith of Newton, KS; son, Bryan Smith of Kansas City, KS;and brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Carol Dauer of Brookville, KS.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jan is preceded in death by her son, Darrell Smith.

Cremation has take place.  A memorial service will be  at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
