A 22-year-old Salina man was arrested late Wednesday night for burglary, theft, damage to property, and obstruction charges.  Johnathan Covert, of 202 W. Walnut,was found hiding behind bushes in the 700 block of Sheridan by a Salina Police K-9 unit, after following his trail from 641 S. Phillips where he was seen leaving an apartment just before 11 pm.

Covert allegedly broke glass in a door to gain entry and took keys from inside that were left by a former tenant.

Police were called by neighbors hearing the glass break and seeing someone matching Covert walking away.  Damage was estimated at $100.
