Captain Sweeney told The Salina Post that an injury accident took place on March 12, at 7:50 p.m. at the 800 block of East Republic. Darlene Bean, 75,  was traveling Westbound on East Republic. when her white 2002 Pontiac Montana minivan struck a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country that was parked facing Westbound on East Republic.

 Melissa Sue Bean,   48, was a passenger with Bean and was transported by EMS to the hospital for chest pains. The report states that all were properly restrained with seatbelts. Darlene Bean’s vehicle is disabled and caused damage to the driver side door of the Chrysler.
