Searching for vandalism suspects

On Monday evening around 9:15, police were called to the 2900 block of Berkley to investigate a report of damage to property.

Captain Paul Forrester told The Salina Post that a resident heard a loud pop, looked out his back window and noticed three males standing near the tracks. He asked them what they were doing and they said they were headed to Walmart. The resident discovered that half of his sliding glass door had been shattered and found a large ball bearing on his deck and a smaller one between the two panes of glass. The loss came to $2,500.

That same evening police responded to another report of damage to property at the 2700 block of Linda Lane. A resident discovered her sliding glass door had been broken and a large ball bearing was found. The loss came to $800.

According to Forrester, the police believe these incidents are connected and they are searching for three male subjects between the ages of 16-21.
