Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Gardner will conduct an active shooter training session from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Trinity Lutheran Church, 702 S. Ninth St.
This presentation provides critical information in a timely manner on what to expect in the event of an active shooter, as well as potential options and considerations to mitigate the threat.
When Gardner was asked what most people are surprised to learn in the training, his response was, “people are just surprised by some of the techniques and things that they need to do to be safe. There is a strong desire for the public to seek remedies, to seek answers, to seek preventative actions in their workplace, their school, their cubicle, their desk, and their hallway.”
Everyone is welcome to this Free session as we learn how to foster a culture of readiness and awareness in the event of an active shooter.
