Man arrested after making threats against himself

Salina Police take a man into custody Sunday evening after he makes threats against himself with a gun while holding his young son.

Captain Paul Forrester said officers were sent to a home in the 200 block of S. 12th around 9:30 p.m. on the report of a disturbance outside of the home.

31-year-old Kiel Ragan is alleged to have put a 9mm handgun to his head and threatened to harm himself while holding his 13 month old son.

By the time officers arrived, Ragan no longer was holding the gun , but cursing at a 32-year-old woman, and approached the woman’s 69-year-old father in a aggressive manner and thew a pack of cigarettes at him.

Ragan was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of aggravated endangerment of a child, battery, and violation of a protection order.
